This training program is designed to provide to the pilots the knowledge and the skills to fly a helicopter with Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) under specified circumstances such as flying at night, in the condition of radio failure or in other emergencies.
This course will bring you the capability to well perform offshore, medivac, search and rescue flights.
PRE-REQUISITES: Before attending the course, the following requirements must be met: - Minimum age: at least 18 years of age. - Medical fitness: must hold a valid Class 1 or 2 medical certificate issued by an authorised medical center. - Education: at least must hold high school diploma. - Languages: good communication ability in Vietnamese and/ or English with minimium score of TOEIC 450 or DYNED level 1. -Flying experience: at least holding a private pilot license (PPL-H) or crediting 40 flight hours of a CPL-H program. - Proof of identity: Personal ID or passort, Declaration of any pending criminal proceedings and other equivalent documents.
THE CAAV REQUIREMENTS: An applicant for a Helicopter Instrument Rating (IR-H) must meet the following requirements:
Theoretical knowledge: Must hold a valid certificate of the successful completion of IFR Theoretical syllabus of 90 hours.
Experience and crediting: Must have completed at least 40 hours of flight time of which a maximium of 25 hours may have been completed in a simulator training device. Must pass a proficiency checkride with an examiner assigned by CAAV.
Medical fitness: Must hold a valid Class 1or 2 medical certificate issued by an authorised medical center.
